What was the highlight of Gara Suites Golf Hotel

Very Good

Nice large hotel. Location wasn't to bad. 15 to 20 minute walk from the main area, it's on a hill, but it's not to steep. Rooms are exceptionally clean although dated. There was a mini fridge in the room but nothing else. It's nice to have a kettle. We only stayed 1 night. But would have been happy spend a few more nights here. We got our room for around 99 euros per night, which included breakfast. Breakfast was nice. We only stayed 1 night as this was due to a flight change. We had stayed in gala hotel for 5 nights and it was terrible. This is 100% better and way cheaper. Nice mix of guests pool area is nice. I never saw any entertainment as we went out. Bed was super comfortable I would stay again. A taxi to the centre is about 6 euros and for the younger 1s you can hire an electric scooter for 2 euros to the center. They are parked outside the hotel. Our room was massive and the balcony way nice.

Rooms are abit dated is my only complaint.

Very nice, quiet place

Maintenance should pay more attention to fix stuff. I think that’s the only issues we found in that place. Door broken, light switch not working, couldn’t lock bathroom doors

Good

The staff is very nice, the pool is pleasantly warm and not crowded during this period. There is enough space in the restaurant area. Breakfast is nothing extra, but there are also lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, which is positive. A good starting point due to its proximity to the highway.

The room is puritanical, the covers and sofa are worn, the walls are dirty, the bathtub is repaired. Due to noise coming from the city, it is not possible to relax without earplugs (this is not the hotel's fault basically, but the windows are not soundproofed). The bed is laid out. The dishes are prepared to British and German taste, most are tasteless and featureless. Every day the theme at dinner is different, which is more of a disadvantage than an advantage. Better than having to look for a new restaurant every night. It is worth choosing this hotel for a shorter period of time. On foot, everything is far away, so the car is a must. Parking is not free at the hotel's underground parking, but there are parking spots nearby for free.

Good choice of breakfast. Great view of golf course from our balcony. Apartment was very spacious.

The location was a little bit far from the centre. About 30 mins walk to the centre.

For the price, it served its purpose.

We stayed for 1 night either side of a ferry ride for a week in La Gomera. It did what it was supposed to do. The breakfast buffet was way better than expected.

The location was a little bit away from the beach area. There were not many options for eating with-in walking distance if you didn't want to use the hotel restaurant.

Nice hotel, should upgrade their cleaning routines.

Nice pool Area, Big rooms, good breakfast.

We had booked 2 rooms, with a pull out sofa for the kids in both rooms. Also was confirmed a baby bed. The baby bed wasn’t there. The pull out sofa wasn’t made ready, so we went for dinner and let reception know we needed it done. We came back and it was pulled out, with a sheet on it, a duvet without cover, the cover was next to it for us to do it ourselves but it wasn’t the right size in one of the rooms and it wasn’t a cover in the other. No pillows for any of the 3 kids, and also not enough towels. The floors was so dirty/sticky we had to wear shoes or wash or feet before putting them in our shoes. And in one of the rooms it was a lot of mould.(that could have been cleaned easily if they cared). Really a shame, because it was otherwise a nice hotel with big rooms and good facilities.

Wonderful

It's a younger generation vibe it's well situated not far from the beach or the centre. Just hop in the taxi is around €8(night time). There's always some parked near reception I came for 1 night and ended up staying an extra one Breakfast is good. There are a lot of choices. Dinner was good as well... Overall, I would come back again

I’ve been there before and I really like it

The only thing about this property is that the doors on the balcony do not lock ! And we had been burgled on our last night and stuff had been taken and there were also a couple off other peoples rooms had been burgled. I spoke to the management about this problem and it seems that it has been happening for a long time with out the balcony doors to be fixed

Quite rooms with a great view, pools nice size but could do with a clean, the entertainment was OK but could be better.

Very spacious, large room, the two pools were a great size and there were always loads of sunbeds available. Entertainment was OK but could be better. Nice view and quiet area.

Unfortunately we had ants behind our bed. The pool was also very dirty at the bottom and never saw a machine in the pool to clean it. We only booked for breakfast but the food was not good quality, especially for a 4 star hotel.

All was very good. Perfect price/quality ratio. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Big and spacious numbers. Friendly personnel

Need to remove Schwab's from the restaurant. In numbers mattresses are not very comfortable due to high use

Big comfy rooms. Delicious Indian restaurant. Vanessa the entertainment hose is brilliant and provided so many fun activities throughout our stay. Shop on site.

The only thing that lets this hotel down is the location.

Really nice surprise

The property was a very small taxi ride away from all the local shops beach etc but still out the way enough for quiet and relaxing. The rooms were really spacious and could of easily fit 6 beds in there. The breakfast was an added bonus and was really surprised at how nice it was for the money. Plenty of sunbeds and pools were lovely.

The rooms needed updating a little especially the bathroom. The toilet ran constantly and the shower head was broken. Needed easier directions to the rooms
